Deming tinha toda raz\u00e3o. Se n\u00e3o medirmos o que fazemos, dificilmente poderemos iniciar melhorias.<\/p>\n<p>Ainda sobre a quest\u00e3o de medi\u00e7\u00e3o, h\u00e1 algum tempo tomei conhecimento de um estudo feito com um desportista com desempenho excelente. A cada dez saltos, acertava oito, um \u00edndice de 80%. Os estudiosos perguntaram ao atleta: \u201cSe retirarmos a barra, voc\u00ea acha que isso afetar\u00e1 seu desempenho?\u201d Ele garantiu que n\u00e3o, e argumentou que o que importava era o seu treino no procedimento de salto, e n\u00e3o a barra em si. Os pesquisadores pediram para o atleta realizar novamente uma s\u00e9rie de dez saltos.<\/p>\n<p>Sem o atleta saber, os pesquisadores colocaram um sensor eletr\u00f4nico, na altura da barra que fora retirada. O objetivo era medir o desempenho do esportista nessa nova condi\u00e7\u00e3o (de n\u00e3o ver a barra ser ultrapassada). Ele realizou a nova s\u00e9rie de saltos conforme fora solicitado. Quando os estudiosos fizeram a aferi\u00e7\u00e3o da altura registrada no sensor eletr\u00f4nico, verificaram que o desempenho do atleta caiu para 40%. Esse estudo mostrou a import\u00e2ncia de se ter uma meta vis\u00edvel.<\/p>\n<p>Quando se trata de uma\u00a0equipe de trabalho, o estabelecimento de\u00a0metas\u00a0\u00e9 fundamental para melhorar o\u00a0desempenho individual e do grupo. Estabelecer metas pode parecer uma tarefa simples, mas definitivamente n\u00e3o \u00e9.
